Divine Calling

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and all things that in them are. After God created the beans he turned to his angels and said, “Is it meet that the beans shall go uncounted?” And the angel replied, “It is not good for the beans to go uncounted!”
Then God replied, we shall create a creature that shall count the beans and the beans will be good.” And thus the accountant was formed in the likeness of a man but lacking the personality thereof. He was given tools such as a slide rule, green bar paper, and sharpened pencils and was instructed to go forth, with professional skepticism, and count the beans.
