Miracle Cure

There are many benefits to ECT that apparently aren't well known: 

• His left foot and lower leg are tingling.  These areas have been numb for years due to his back problems.  Maybe the nerves are waking up?
• He has lost 10 lbs in the last 5 days.
• His acne has cleared up.
• His beard looks darker.  If his gray hair disappears I'm going to insist on ECT treatments for me.

I have a theory about this.  I think the electric shocks are reenergizing the synapsis in his brain and increasing blood flow.  Soon he'll have a perfected body.

On the negative side, the longer the treatments go on, the more run down Travis is feeling.  It also doesn't help that the sleeping pills they have him on give him a "hangover" the next day which makes him out of it.

So far, short term memory loss has shown itself mainly through forgetfulness.  The day I brought Travis home, the hospital gave him back his wallet which I watched him put in his pocket.  The next day he tells me that he's lost his wallet.  We looked everywhere:  the cafeteria, car, Walmart, garage.  A couple of nights ago I open his clothes drawer and there's the wallet sitting in plain sight.  He was in and out of that drawer every day, but apparently didn't see it.

The last couple of days he hasn't been feeling well and this morning he woke up with hugely swollen lymph nodes on the right side of his neck.  He was supposed to have a treatment this morning, but they sent him home until he gets better.  Anyway, we took him to the doctor who says that he has the stomach flu and that the swelling is weird because it should have shown up when he first got sick, that it should be both sides, and that it shouldn't be that big.  So, he gave us a prescription for antinausea and antibiotics.  He said to wait and see if the swelling goes down on its own before taking the antibiotics because the medicine may prolong his stomach flu. 

His next treatment is on Saturday morning, if he's feeling better.

Celeste got her permit on Monday.

Ashley earned a 91/100 on her Astronomy test.  She wants to dress up as Padme (?) (the girl from Star Wars) so that she matches Caleb who is going to be a Jedi.  If anyone has a costume give me a call.

Hannah might go trick or treating with some friends including a boy she likes (he makes her feel fluttery).  She also came home last weekend from a sleepover with first and second degree burns down her left leg (she spilled cup of noodle on herself).  Apparently the mom was told Hannah had burned herself, but never investigated how badly.  I wasn't called or informed of the accident until she came home and showed me.

Emma seems to want to write/draw on everything:  dresser, purses, carpet, ...  She has also discovered friends and asks me everyday if she can go over to their house.

Wendy has overdrawn her checking account and stolen some of Celeste's cash.  She's also burned/melted Celeste's new choir dress.
